Accounting integration, invoice line item re-ordering and support for business customers

✨ New features

Accounting integration (Exact Online)

• Added full accounting software integration - connect a garage's Exact Online account to push invoices across as they're created, including support for:
  • Pushing new invoices to the accounting software (the Autowork Go invoice will become "linked" with the external invoice)
  • Updating an existing invoice via Autowork Go to the external accounting software (e.g. if a line item price is changed or a new item is added)
  • Removing an existing invoice via Autowork Go in the external accounting software (e.g. if a job is cancelled)
• Line items on quotes, job sheets and invoices can now be assigned an accounting category, used to map to the correct account settings (such as General Ledger accounts / Catalog items) when pushing to Exact for quick, repeat use
  • This category then carries through automatically when converting a quote to a job sheet or invoice
• Customer records can now be linked to (or unlinked from) a matching Exact contact, and show the linked contact's name, email address and a direct link through to Exact
• Customer records can be created via Autowork Go to make a new contact record in Exact based on the Autowork Go customers' details (for cases where a customer record is not available in Exact)
• Added a homepage banner to highlight the new integration
• Accounting software is a paid add-on, follow the instructions when logged in under Accounting -> Overview
• Currently available for Exact Online only, with further accounting providers planned

Quote / job builder

• Added a job sheet template dropdown to the quote / job builder, letting you quick-populate line items from an existing template, the same as the "Create job sheet" flow
• Added on-page markup tools, letting you apply a fixed amount or percentage markup to quote / job builder external line items, with a choice of which price the markup is calculated from

Vehicles

• Added a dedicated page in location admin for tracking vehicle health check reports (previously only accessible via individual vehicle's edit page) Go to Vehicles -> Health checks list
• Added a standalone vehicle search page (Admin -> Vehicles -> Find vehicle) for quickly looking up or creating a vehicle record outside of a job sheet or quote

Invoices

• Line items on the invoice edit page can now be re-ordered, with the ordering reflected on the final invoice viewed by customers

Customers

• Customer records can now stored as a "Person" or "Business"
  • Business customers have a single-field business name
  • Person customers continue to have a title / first name / last name

Sign-up

• New garages can now be brought on board via a self sign-up invite link, rather than going through support - an invite is sent (or the link shared directly) with an expiry date, and the recipient completes their own registration

Integrations

• Added a new Integrations page, listing all available parts catalogue and accounting integrations for your region in one place

🔧 Improvements

Quote / job builder

• Parts catalogue options you don't have access to (e.g. Brightmotive in regions without it) are now hidden on the quote builder, rather than shown but non-functional
• If your region has no integrations available yet, the quote builder now shows a message explaining this

Localisation

• The Tyre Finder tool is now available for garages in the Netherlands (previously UK only)
• Improved behind-the-scenes tooling for managing SMS translations, reducing the chance of missing or incorrect translations — particularly for newly added message templates

Vehicles

• Added support for additional vehicle fuel types, following updates from our vehicle data providers

Miscellaneous

• The customer edit page has been reorganised and decluttered
• Added the quick invoice button to the calendar page daily invoice list once at least one invoice was present

🐞 Fixes

• Various security and performance improvements to the system
• Various efficiency improvements and code refinement across the system
• Fixed an issue where parts added to a quote could show a price 1p lower than expected, and where the recommended price was being applied to the wrong section
• Fixed the make / model vehicle lookup missing the vehicle's year
• Fixed a culture/localisation error affecting some pages
• Fixed product tours not displaying correctly after recent interface updates
• Fixed vehicle health check print reports having elements cut off following recent layout redesign
• Fixed job links not appearing in some link job search results
